After years of working with truly amazing local passionate ethical activists and artists, all experts in their respective fields, Lara decided to invite people who have worked with her and believed in her since her beginnings – to celebrate the start of a new year and the exciting projects it holds for all.   We were a total of seven, a perfect small party. Journey into the Studio...

It's a hot spring morning on the Sunshine Coast. Heat haze on the road, the strong smell of the bush in the air... Lara is wearing one of her own designs, silk, dyed with Eucalyptus, Acacia and splattered with Oak Gall Ink, a favourite old dress that has been lovingly mended. Perfect for a day of experimental dyeing. Eucalyptus sideroxylon, also known as "Mugga" is the species that Lara is experimenting with today.
